Parent Focus Group

Mrs Fraser invited parents from each class to join our focus group to canvas their opinion on our home/school communication. I would like to say thank you to all who attended and we look forward to future meetings to discuss any issues raised.

Our Playground Displays

We have created outdoor posters to remind us
how important it is to be fit and healthy.

Creative play is important too!

Friendship Stop

If we have no-one to play with we can find a friend here.

Skipping area in our yard

We have an area in our yard where we can skip during breaktimes.

Our Healthy Picnic

We prepared the food in our classrooms but the best bit was tasting it all!!!

Our Fruit Tuck Shop

We have set up our fruit tuck shop where children can buy fruit for 20p.

What we are doing to become an 'Healthy School'

Over the past 3 years we have been working hard to promote a healthy school.

Each year we have been involved in a variety of activities to promote health and fitness. These have included events such as 'Jump Rope for Heart', which raised awareness of important health issues for both parents and children, developing our outdoor gardens and playgrounds to provide learning and play opportunities and preparing and eating a wide range of healthy foods whilst learning the importance of why and how to eat healthily.

Welcome to our new blog!

What is a healthy school?

A health promoting school is '.....one which actively promotes and protects the physical, mental and social well being of its community through positive action....'

(The National Assembly for Wales, 1999)
